Lake Live 02: Missing Music by Suren Seneviratne

2026-10-24
18:00:00 - 21:00:00
TBA - Lake Space, London

Missing Music sets thirty-year-old Macintosh computer hardware and software, long considered obsolete, against contemporary multichannel speaker arrays. Drawing on a meticulous personal archive of early software titles, Cycling '74 Max MSP and SuperCollider patches, VSTs and Macromedia Flash sound art projects from the 1990s to mid 2000s, Suren Seneviratne composes a new work for spatialisation across Lake's 8.2 system. Cheaply available today, these vintage tools offer a resistance to AI-powered practices, subscription software, and planned obsolescence. Suren Seneviratne is a multidisciplinary, neurodiverse Sri Lankan British artist working across music production, radio, film composition, sound design and VR. He has recorded for Project:Mooncircle and Soundway Records, with collaborations for Ninja Tune, Sadler's Wells, Google DayDream and Tate Modern Tanks. He scored The Taste of Mango (2023), winner at BIFA and London Film Festival, and performed a live soundtrack for Baraka (1990) at the RNCM, Manchester. @mypandashallfly Image: Spatial planning - Suren Seneviratne L A K E Enclave 5, 50 Resolution Way, London SE8 4AL @enclaveprojects Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England @aceagrams
