Sonic Explorations returns to Tengu on October 3rd with another night dedicated to live performance, inviting Belfast-born, Rotterdam-based artist Kessler, Dublin-based Italian producer Lerosa, and local trio Commissions to take over the space. Throughout the night, SCARLET's 'The Drape' installation will once again transform the room, reshaping the dancefloor around the live performances. Kessler is an artist who craft's immersive performances that draw from bass, techno, jungle and broken rhythms. With releases on Shall Not Fade, Holding Hands and of course his own Elicit imprint which, alongside appearances at Fabric, De School, Dekmantel, and Fusion. His genre-defying approach has earned him a reputation as one of the most compelling underground artists to rise in recent years. Lerosa is the alias of Dublin-based Italian producer Leopoldo Rosa, his live performances weave together dub, electro, industrial, IDM and techno into atmospheric journeys. He has performed at institutions such as Fabric and Tresor while developing a singular sound rooted in experimentation. Opening the night we have Dublin trio Commissions. Founders of Local Resonance, they have become an important part of Dublin's experimental electronic community prioritising rhythm and machine-led production.
