Kara-Lis Coverdale performs her fourth full-length album, A Series of Actions in a Sphere of Forever, a collection of nine pieces, dedicated to solo piano. Written and recorded during winter in a small rural studio in Ontario, the album reflects Coverdale’s retreat from maximal sound and a return to acoustic fundamentals, whilst maintaining her signature blend of experimental electronics and traditional musicianship. Taking place in the Elgar Room, the Steinway Series stars exceptional artists from the worlds of classical music and jazz. The Elgar Room is the Royal Albert Hall’s versatile contemporary performance space. It's steeped in history and a great way to enjoy live entertainment at the Hall beyond the main stage. This performance is co-presented by MUTEK, with the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
