A master of his craft, Pittman's infectious, meticulous mixing twists the traditions of raw machine music with his unmistakable flair and groove. Rolling, low-slung house and high-tempo disco are his trademarks, but he's equally at home navigating hard-hitting techno, obscure post-punk and deep soul. An extraordinary selector with the confidence, range and instinct to take a dancefloor in any direction. A cornerstone of Detroit dance music, Pittman first came to prominence alongside Theo Parrish on Sound Signature's Essential Selections Volume 1, before becoming one quarter of the legendary Three Chairs, alongside Parrish, Kenny Dixon Jr. (Moodymann) and Rick Wilhite. His own Unirhythm imprint, alongside releases on Omar-S's FXHE, established Pittman as a singular producer whose raw drum patterns, spacious arrangements and unmistakable sense of groove have become staples in record bags around the world. From intimate basements to the world's biggest stages, Pittman carries the warmth, soul and uncompromising musical spirit of Detroit wherever he plays. For this special Adelaide return, Marcellus takes control of the Electric Circus basement for an extended session, with Love Design DJs setting the tone from 10pm.
