Aurora Halal makes her much-anticipated return to BASEMENT. The Sustain-Release founder is one of the definitive artists in the NY electronic music scene over the last fifteen years, both as a producer/DJ and as an organizer. It’s indisputable that the impact of her signature festival has been galvanizing for the entire American underground, while her fearless DJ sets explore the cross currents between the evocative, hypnotic and the extreme in equal measure. From her years-running Nowadays residency and to her ceaseless global touring schedule, Halal brings a vitality and wide-open sense of imagination to techno that is all her own. Altinbas is back following his July debut in the room. A resident of Brussels’ renowned Fuse, he has distinguished himself with a sleek, roiling sound that captures a cold-blooded sensuality and relentless momentum with decisive focus. The quality of his productions is evinced in no small part by the company he keeps: he has released on buy-on-sight labels like Ostgut Ton, Non Series, Token and more. Strap in for a wild ride: Roza Tirenzi steps back into the booth in STUDIO. Tirenzi has become a key name in the last decade; she’s renowned for her bombastic, flowy and highly personal take on rave, trance, breaks, progressive house and much, much more. Eschewing the expected in favor of a febrile psychedelia, Tirenzi is an artist whose reputation is uncontestable. Alex Kassian channels some of those same influences, drawing on the euphoric highs of trance as well as the balmy sway of cosmic and the softer side of synth pop. In his productions and sets, he crafts an unhurried, flowy world that makes the psychedelic experience feel laid back. Matas turns up the tempo, setting his sights on a more tweaked, slithery palette. The Nowadays resident reinvigorates techy minimalism and early ‘00s prog sounds with a special touch. ■ No photos or videos ■ Ticket purchase does not guarantee entrance ■ No phone use on the dancefloor ■ The dance floor is for dancing, not conversation ■ No glowing/flashing clothes or items ■ Respect other people's space, no shuffling ■ Consent is mandatory ■ Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination ■ Take care of each other, alert our staff if somebody isn't feeling well ■ Violating the house rules will result in removal PLEASE REVIEW HOUSE POLICIES AT LINK BELOW
