It is November 20, 2026. The weather is being cheekily cold, but a fine little tingling runs through the city. “Oi, cyborg! Which road bends its way to Toldi around here?” asked a several-thousand-year-old, lizard-like oddball, freshly arrived at Nyugati Railway Station from the Danube Bend. The inner-city cyborg raised his hiking pole southward with great determination, pointing the way for the unusual but friendly bunch, who have already survived five Swampifications, eight Techlakes, a pile of illegal forest-edge affairs, quite a few Turbina clubnights, marathon Nomád marches, all-night-longs, all-day-longs, Dürer open airs, Budafok Paper Mill dealings, Pontoon wanderings and many other peculiar adventures. They have witnessed 12 (soon 13!) VAs hatch from their lair, more than 20 EPs, and experienced the musical visions of 250+ artists. For techlab.bp’s 7th birthday (the first one to be officially celebrated), sounds closest to the label’s heart will arrive from 7+1 friendly sources. Joining the local forces from Berlin is UK-born Sioc, who was already there two and a half years ago at our first solo Turbina clubnight. This year they also made it to Techlake, while the track released on our third VA has remained one of the most-played pieces in our catalogue ever since. // For the birthday, we’ll also be opening wormholes to Rebel Beach, Nagymaros and Kerekhegy.
