ZVUK FESTIVAL. Silk Road 2.0. We decided to celebrate the autumn chapter of our anniversary year with a large-scale festival dedicated to the East and the Silk Road. For one night, the main pavilion of Green Bazaar on Zhibek Zholy — a place with a history spanning one and a half centuries — will transform into a dancefloor. At the heart of the festival is Asia’s contemporary electronic scene: from Turkey and Iran to China and Kazakhstan. International and local artists will come together in a space that has served as a crossroads of trade and cultures for decades. The headliner of ZVUK FESTIVAL will be CEM (@cemdukkha) — a Turkish-born DJ, co-founder and resident of Herrensauna, one of the notable institutions of today’s underground techno scene. For the first time in Almaty, LIUYANG (@liuyang0734) — one of the prominent figures in China’s underground rave scene — and M SIYAN (@msiyan_) — an Iranian artist known for her fast and hypnotic sound — will perform.
