Ever wanted to learn how to DJ but didn’t know where to start? Lilia & Friends is launching a 5-week Beginner DJ Course with DJ and tutor Cecilia Ena at Pirate Studios Dalston. Designed for complete beginners, the course is all about learning by doing. Across 5 weekly sessions and 10 hours of practical training, you’ll learn the foundations of DJing and build the skills and confidence to start mixing independently. Classes take place every Thursday from 18:00–20:00, starting 8 October, in a small group of maximum 6 students. Learning materials and a video recap will be provided after each lesson, so you can review what you’ve learned and continue practising between sessions. After completing the group course, students are encouraged to continue with 1-to-1 sessions with Cecilia. We recommend around 5 individual lessons to develop your technique further and work towards preparing your own 30-minute DJ set. Once ready, you’ll have the opportunity to perform your set in front of DJs from the Lilia & Friends community.
