Its my pleasure to announce the next installment of Expressions in La Cheetah with very special guests Rosie Ama & Ángel Negrín. After blowing everyone away with her closing set at Convenanza festival, I invite Rosie to Expressions for her Glasgow debut. Mum of the “Human Endeavour” label and monthly Noods “Melodic Odds” radio show. She's became one of my favourite DJ’s so to be able to see her close out Convenanza festival so brilliantly was really special. “London-based DJ, radio host and Human Endeavour Records label founder Rosie Ama operates on the outer fringes of dance music, slinging her sleazy cocktail of low-slung chuggers, leftfield acid house and synth-driven grooves in basements, bars, fields and clubs across the UK and beyond. With recent support slots for Optimo, Wallace and Make A Dance under her belt, Rosie Ama is beginning to carve a name for herself in the underground club space.” Also on the line up is someone who needs no introduction in the Glasgow underground scene. Ángel has been making moves through building his very own club night “Luna Roja” from the ground up and deserves all the respect and adulation coming his way. “Ángel Negrín is a Venezuelan DJ based in Glasgow and the mind behind Luna Roja. Originally from Caracas, his musical background stretches far beyond techno, with early influences rooted in punk, psychedelia and post-rock. His sound sits on the deeper end of the spectrum: hypnotic, atmospheric and trippy, with sets that build gradually through psychedelic textures and controlled tension. Rather than relying on obvious peaks, Ángel takes a patient approach, allowing each set to develop into its own journey.”
