BODY OF WORK (XD Network) is delighted to partner with Berlin Science Week for an immersive exhibition of works using sensory technology. Internationally exhibited artists will present works negotiating the boundaries between the sensory and the digital, including renowned Québécois artist Baron Lanteigne - who will unveil the technical and interactive features of his recent work. Throughout the evening, an interactive panel discussion will take place before the night dissolves into DJ sets, AV performances, and live visuals. Guest curation by Viktoria Hilsberg. But how deeply do we think about what is actually "at our fingertips"? Guest curator Viktoria Hilsberg has invited three artists - from Québec, France and Ukraine - to share their perspectives for BODY OF WORK's partnership with Berlin Science Week 2026. This is an evening where touch, technology and testimony sit in the same room. Touch is what connects us. It is through digital space we connect more and more - but this is a tactical endeavour, whether we admit it or not: the independent likeness we build of ourselves in our heads, or simply the dismissal of how central the digital already is to our lives. It was like that before AI. It is like that now. Our three invited artists have embodied this reality long before this evening - exchanged on it with their mouths, their hands, their ears, their feelings. Where do we stand within all this? Not bystanders, but producers - of thoughtless scrolling, filming, uploading, another snapshot before the next meeting. We are within each other's reach, every day, all day. When did you last put your phone down? It is in your hand right now, isn't it? Thanks to the Québec Government Office to Germany, we welcome Québecois artist Baron Lanteigne, presenting the latest version of his motion-capture glove performance - reimagining touch between material and digital worlds on Studio1111's 270-degree screen. French painter Anaïs Goupy centres the human form, deformed and reassembled through AI, interrogating authenticity and originality in one of humankind's oldest mediums. And in with her "Losing Touch" installation, Ukrainian artist and composer Alisa Nedashkovska invites every guest to create art themselves: a lectern rigged with contact microphones turns handwriting into ambient sound, transcribed into an anonymous mix that to give written words a second, distant life. BODY OF WORK at STUDIO1111 is a 270° showcase series where leading visual artists present their most defining creations, immersing the audience in their signature (virtual) worlds. Each event features a deep artists talk, offering rare insight into the stories and processes, unpacking the hacks and ideas behind their work, plus a sprinkle of future-flavored trivia.
