Chicago-based guitarist, composer, and bandleader **Aaron Shapiro** celebrates the release of Hats & Caps, a vinyl record inspired by his family’s history on Maxwell Street and the legacy of his great-grandfather’s hat shop, Dunn’s Hats & Caps. The two-song single features Shapiro’s original jazz compositions, drawing on his family’s roots and the Maxwell Street community that helped shape its history. Pressed on orange 10" vinyl, the release reflects a personal connection to the neighborhood and community at the heart of his family’s story. Shapiro is joined by longtime collaborators **John Sutton** on bass, **Nate Lepine** on saxophone and flute, and **Tommaso Moretti** on drums.
