The party appears whenever it feels like it, spreading love, hope, and empathy through the city. Bringing together people, sounds, and perspectives that might otherwise never meet, Kimagure Empathy is a gathering built around unexpected connections, playful energy, and the freedom to simply enjoy the moment. For this special edition, we welcome TENTENKO, a Tokyo-based electronic musician and DJ whose activities have always moved freely across different scenes and forms. TENTENKO began her career as a member of the Japanese idol group BiS, active from 2013 to 2014, before launching her solo project. Since then, she has developed a distinctive electronic practice through both solo work and collaborations, including ZVIZMO with Atsuhiro Ito, MikaTen with T. Mikawa of Hijokaidan and Incapacitants, and Hatagaya Chitchaimono Club with KΣITO. As a DJ, she performs both solo and as part of the duo HappySet with Country Tamura. She is also the organizer of Ponpoko-yama, a party at Hatagaya FORESTLIMIT inspired by a festival of tanuki—mischievous Japanese folklore creatures known for their playful spirit. Expect an eclectic, playful, and unpredictable night of Electronic Music, where different worlds cross paths and anything might happen. And who knows... Maybe the tanuki will come too.
