On a dance floor, there is room to discover a different way of listening. UNK?OWN is a new gathering where house music brings together sensibilities from music, fashion and art. It starts with a question: what don’t we know? Letting go of what we think we know, we listen a little closer. Beyond genres and reputations, we look for the moments that move us. The first edition takes place over two days in autumn at Yoyogi Park, within MATAHARI LAND at earth garden Autumn. On Saturday, GOHLEM opens the floor before guest DJ KATIMI AI, followed by MASAKI KAWAMURA, who leads the project’s music and cultural direction. On Sunday, CANDY BOYS lead into guest DJ YAMARCHY. Their selections trace different paths through the afternoon, dusk and evening. Different languages and backgrounds, a shared groove. Sometimes, a connection begins with a track, before we even learn each other’s names. UNK?OWN makes space for that possibility in a setting open to everyone. Come for a DJ you love. ARTISTS / EN KATIMI AI GUEST DJ · SATURDAY A Tokyo-based DJ and producer moving between tech house and Afro house, KATIMI AI brings her roots and personal sensibility to her selections. Her work includes a mix for Keinemusik and an appearance on the RESISTANCE stage at ULTRA JAPAN 2026. YAMARCHY GUEST DJ · SUNDAY A collector exploring obscure cosmic and Balearic sounds, YAMARCHY searches the overlooked corners of dance music history. His selections resonate like transmissions arriving from a place that belongs nowhere. His approach values patience over pressure: long narratives, unexpected turns, and music that rewards those who stay. MASAKI KAWAMURA SATURDAY A DJ and event producer, former head of creative agency EGGWORM, and an organiser behind mixmag Japan, MASAKI KAWAMURA has long connected international dance music with Tokyo’s cultural landscape. Through AUDIO MUSIC FESTIVAL, SUMMER SOUNDS and WHISTLEBUMP, he has created dance floors in a wide range of urban settings. His DJ sets move through deep house, techno, disco and electronic music, combining an underground sensibility with an open, celebratory spirit. GOHLEM SATURDAY Active as a DJ since 2010, GOHLEM has built his experience across clubs and lounges in Tokyo and Yokohama. Rooted in house and disco, his selections move between genres in response to the atmosphere and the floor in front of him. He currently holds a regular DJ slot at THE DRIP HOUSE alongside appearances at clubs across Tokyo. CANDY BOYS SUNDAY CANDY BOYS are Genki Tanaka and Yosuke Nakagawa, friends since high school who began their individual DJ careers around 2006 and started performing as Candy Boys in 2015. Moving fluidly through house, disco and techno, they bring the intuitive rapport of a long friendship and distinct musical perspectives to sets that balance warmth, playfulness and an underground edge. Genki’s GOLDENTIME project connects Japanese and Australian dance music scenes, while the duo host NASTY CANDY with Nasty Boyz at Tokyo’s Mitsuki.
