Nice people and good dance music, every first Thursday at Mothership. We feature extended sets from talented local DJs who you normally only see humbly supporting headliners or in stacked weeknight lineups—letting them share their unique sound on the dance floor. This month, we're featuring Professor Bang, a longtime DJ and veteran of the Bay Area rave scene. His record crates and flash drives are full of drum n’ bass, jungle, funk, soul, house, and more. He’s been at the controls in top clubs, forward-looking festivals, and sweaty undergrounds throughout California & the West Coast. During his decades-long career, Professor Bang has been a tireless collaborator: as a founding member of the Slayers Club collective, as one half of the West Coast jungle duo OG Krush, and most recently as the DJ in the drum n’ bass duo LOUD TIME alongside legendary vocalist Audio Angel. In the studio, he has produced remixes for The Flying Skulls, NVO, and Amp Live of Zion I. Resident Justyn Myers on warm up duties. Come dance with us!
