AGGREGATE Festival Berlin - new music for pipe organs

2026-10-01
20:00:00 - 22:30:00
TBA - Sankt Hedwigs-Kathedrale, Bebelplatz Berl, Berlin

The 6th edition of the festival led by the Berlin-based ensemble gamut inc explores the fascinating possibilities and soundscapes that emerge when centuries-old mechanics meet computer control. Over two days, new artistic approaches will be presented at iconic Berlin venues – St Hedwig’s Cathedral and, for the first time, the Konzerthaus – offering a view into a soundscape in flux. The second day — alongside a new work by Mexican composer Mauricio Silva Orendain and a collaboration between organist Marcel Andreas Ober and electronic musician Benjamin Geyer – Tristan Perich’s large-scale *INFINITY GRADIENT* for organ and 100 loudspeakers resounds in St. Hedwig’s Cathedral, performed by James McVinnie, a one-hour symphony in seven movements for pipe organ and 100 speakers in 1-bit audio.
