ALTAR Lates presents... where we welcome some of our favourite DJs for late night club sessions on our heavy basement soundsystem. We are delighted to welcome the only and only Auntie Flo for a globetrotting DJ set that will sound incredible. Over a career spanning 15 years, Auntie Flo has made their name by ‘taking World Music into the future’ (The Guardian), ‘pushing boundaries’ (Phonica Records) and being ‘one of the most inventive talents of our time’ (Test Pressing). They’ve played everywhere from the Sub Club to Glastonbury, but have really made their name by seeking out-of-the-ordinary performances: street parties in Cuba, mountains festivals in Nepal, beaches in Goa, rooftops in Kenya, and even sun rituals in the Arctic Circle. As a DJ, Brian has DJ’d extensively in Europe and shared stages with the biggest names in the industry, with memorable back to back sets with the likes of Bradley Zero, Axel Boman, Daniel Avery, Optimo and many more. Auntie Flo live has featured on three Boiler Rooms and multiple times on BBC radio, with mixes and sessions for the likes of Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs, Tom Ravenscroft and Rob Da Bank. Brian has held DJ residencies at the likes of Glasgow’s legendary Sub Club and London’s much-missed Plastic People
