Thugshop X Never Tooo Loud presents: RENE WISE (Moving Pressure / UK) on 04 December at MDLR. On 4 December, Never Tooo Loud welcomes back Rene Wise to MDLR for a night of deep grooves, intricate percussion and heavyweight low-end pressure. For Wise, production and DJing are part of the same language: a way of telling stories through sound. His approach pairs meticulous detail with a clear instinct for movement, drawing the floor into raw, atmospheric techno that reveals its depth over time. Rhythms shift, textures build, and each selection makes room for the next. That connection to rhythm runs deep. Raised with a background in drums and percussion, guided by his Iranian father, a former professional drummer, Wise developed a feel for the physical force of sound long before finding electronic music. It remains central to his work: percussion with purpose, bass you feel through your body, and grooves that hold your attention. His releases on Mote-Evolver, appearances at Berghain and Bassiani, and residency with the Netherlands’ Eerste Communie reflect an approach rooted in care and consistency. In 2024, he launched Moving Pressure, his own imprint exploring sound’s ability to guide movement and emotion. Our regulars Dez and Vaibs open the night, setting the tone and building the energy before Rene Wise takes over. Come early, support the locals.
