[OPEN DECKS] EXTRA CREDIT

Extra Credit (EC) is a NYC-based open-decks and electronic music series founded by lotus., built around community, discovery, and giving emerging DJs a platform to be heard. EC’s distinctive format combines first-come, first-served open-deck sign-ups with 15-minute DJ sets and featured guest performances, bringing first-timers and established selectors onto the same soundsystem. With no judges, competition, or gatekeeping, each night creates space to experiment, connect, and grow. Rooted in inclusivity and a FLINTA-focused approach, Extra Credit champions underrepresented talent while keeping the booth open to everyone. No egos, just good music, fresh perspectives, and a dancefloor built on community.
