In the 1980s and 1990s, Leeds, UK, established itself as the global capital of the dark alternative music scene, birthing some of the most influential goth and post-punk bands in history. Emerging from those rainslicked streets comes Darkness Shines, a band dedicated to honouring that rich musical heritage. Darkness Shines captures the brooding atmosphere, driving rhythm and angular guitar work that defined the classic UK post-punk sound. Their music is an evolution packed with cinematic tension and emotional depth.The band has marked their arrival with the release of their debut singles on Spotify and a visually captivating music video on YouTube. Darkness Shines is poised to become a vital new voice in the global alternative underground. Reliquia is a band that fuses elements of post punk, doom, dark indie and post metal into a unique sound that calls to mind Nick Cave, Depeche Mode and The Cure as much as it does Amenra, Cult of Luna, Wovenhand and Chelsea Wolfe. Formed in Manchester in 2023 around a shared instinct for weighty, atmospheric, and emotional music, the band consists of writer and US - darkwave scene veteran Gregg Neville on vocals.
