IT STARTED WITH A SIMPLE IDEA In 2013, two Maastricht students and a designer asked: what if a party could do more than fill a room? What if it could fill a glass of water somewhere else in the world? That's how Love Foundation was born. It's a community of activists and artists who raise money for clean water through cultural events, with hubs from Berlin to Cape Town. Our belief hasn't changed: clean water is a human right, and joy can have a purpose. OUR CoSy HOME NEAR BERLIN Three years ago we gave that belief a place of its own. CoSy Festival takes place in a baroque palace once connected to Catherine the Great. It's all about downtempo and midtempo music, art and light installations. It's music that takes its time and a crowd that lets it. NOW WE BRING IT TO AMSTERDAM For one night, CoSy and Love Foundation take over Waterhouse Studios. It's an intimate night, not a mass event, and it runs from sunset over the IJ until the city goes quiet(er). THE MUSIC IORIE live. MAAJE. Oli Neate b2b JaMo. Robert Romain. Soso Klein hybrid. BEFORE THE FLOOR OPENS At 6 p.m. the evening starts with a science-based talk about "Drugs & the Brain" by Katharina Lege. After that comes an very rare music production workshop by IORIE. AROUND IT ALL An fine arts and intermedial art exhibition from our community, food, drinks and room to breathe between the sets. THE PLACE Waterhouse Studios is a house built by DJs and musicians, right on the water in Houthaven. It has 14+ studios, ateliers and a radio stream. It's a place where sound is made, not just played. A foundation that raises money for water, in a house called Waterhouse, on the edge of the IJ. Some things you don't plan. They just flow.
