DJ Sneak, born Carlos Sosa in Puerto Rico and raised in Chicago, is a pioneering figure in house music known for his signature disco-filtered, jackin’ house sound. Influenced by Chicago’s underground scene, he began producing in the early ’90s and rose to prominence through releases on Cajual and Relief, including his 1996 classic “You Can’t Hide from Your Bud.” His music has influenced artists such as Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, and Armand Van Helden. A prolific producer, vinyl enthusiast, DJ, label founder, and booking agency owner, Sneak continues to champion Chicago house culture through his music, live performances, and support of emerging artists.
