Redirect’s September chapter opens at Good Room. The main room is headlined by Clarisa Kimskii. Through a palpable blend of psychedelic, tribal and driving techno, Clarisa’s approach to the genre is deeply idiosyncratic - an assemblage of both timeless and modern grooves. As a producer, Clarisa has contributed to a handful of respected labels (Bite, Monday Off, Gradient Sound, Mysteries of the Deep, etc.) within her sonic niche, but it’s through her own label L.A.G where the ethos of her sound truly takes form - a detailed variation of propulsive and atmospheric soundscapes. Adrian Hex joins the big room. The Pittsburgh-born, Brooklyn-based producer and DJ is carving out a distinct voice within the U.S. minimal and hypnotic techno landscape. With a foundation in jazz and classical percussion, Adrian found his voice in electronic music, where production gave him the freedom to shape a sound that was entirely his own. Bags opens the night. Equally obsessed with polyrhythms, dark ambient sounds, and minor chords, as he is with soulful vocals, disco, house and symphonic melodies. Bags has lived in many places and travelled the world in search of music that moves him and loves to share what he’s found with others. Skoglund closes out the main room, normally know for techno sets, his main room adventures explore his more eclectic range from classic house to machine like electro, the Heavy Waste resident will bring it. Bad Room headliner, KYRUH, is a techno selector/producer whose raw energy and unapologetic joy moves beyond genre mechanics—tapping into rhythm as ritual, vibration as memory, and the dance floor as a space for reclamation and rebirth. The bubbly Brooklyn DJ is breaking techno’s austere norms to facilitate communal therapy on the dance floor, while still carving out a space for the grittier edges of sound. Her live sets are raw, hypnotic, and dripping with sex appeal. HNDRNC opens the room. Forged in the Midwest and hardened in Brooklyn, Heavy Waste co-founder and REDIRECT resident HNDRNC delivers fast, unapologetically hard techno. Commanding rooms with driving low-end and relentless pacing, he builds primal intensity, pushing the dancefloor to its absolute breaking point until surrender is the only option. Erik Braun closes it out with a vinyl set. With a background in percussion, and ongoing explorations of modular synthesis, he’s drawn to a track selection that heavily features tight grooves, abstract textures, and hypnotic tones. $15 in advance. $20 at the door.
