Spooky-J [ - ] EP Release! Spooky-J releases his first hybrid drum-and-electronics EP on Belgian label Crammed Discs this November. What better way to celebrate than bringing together some of Amsterdam’s finest on a big, phat sound system! Spooky-J The British electronic architect behind Nihiloxica’s rhythmic force, Spooky-J is the alter ego of drummer and producer Jacob Maskell-Key, who dives deep into the realms of solo drumming and effects processing for his performances. With roots in Amsterdam's vibrant improv scene, he evolved his sound by merging live effects manipulation and drum triggers to craft intense, doom-laden dance soundscapes. His signature style is a fierce blend of rhythm and experimentation, designed to ignite sweat-drenched dance floors. SERENA Amsterdam-based selector, music producer and curator SERENA forges immersive soundscapes that merge aggressive noise with atmospheric textures, dubby loops, distorted guitars, and guttural vocals. She is the founder of SUBURBIA, an event launched in 2022 that fuses experimental music and visual arts and media, showcasing a wide range of both local and international emergent artists. Her collaboration with Mutant Radio on the new radio show ‘Nervous Energy Diaries’ further amplifies her influence. Through her work, she weaves a tapestry of sound and vision that is both a tribute to the past and a defiant leap into the future. Junn Junn is a Bogotá-based electronic artist who started out drumming in metal and jazz bands before an Electribe MX sparked his obsession with producing, DJing and, above all, live synth sets. He’s performed at Dekmantel Festival Bogotá, Resident Advisor 24/7, Baum Festival, Estéreo Picnic and Ritvales, and presented experimental work at Arkta, a live-act platform that worked with Mutek. Highlights include closing Bogotá’s Video Club after a Legowelt live set, a three-year residency at Theatron, one of Latin America’s biggest queer clubs, and guest mixes for Rinse FM France, n10.as and Radiónica. Rasureitor DJ Rasureitor is a Colombian artist who travels the world, bringing the very best of Latin American rhythms. Her musical selection is a blend of tropical madness that spans psychedelic cumbia, Latin core, a touch of salsa, and merengue, all mixed with new rhythms to dance, sweat, shake your hips, get close, and spin until you're dizzy. For Rasureitor, the dance floor is an intensely political space. Seducing each other, reconnecting with one's roots, resisting through dance and joy, closing your eyes, and traveling through the music and political speeches she incorporates into her set unleashes all kinds of wild and conscious sensations. DJ Turbo 2000 Turbo 2000 is the new alias of Amsterdam-based, Belgian-born sound and visual enthusiast Vicky de Visser, formerly known as Paroah. Behind the decks, she’s famous for taking the dance floor from idle to redline with curveball after curveball, like a Fiat Panda that accidentally got shipped with a turbocharger. Square frame, absurd boost. Your brain is the crash test dummy, and she’s flooring it with an unrelenting stream of fresh acid, footwork, gabber and other friendly yoga-terrorism genres, drifting through hairpin turns of tempo and genre without ever touching the brakes. Expect sudden overtakes, wheel-spinning basslines and a crowd that never gets the chance to cruise.
