2220 Arts welcomes Shungu for a live scoring of *Faith in the Unknown*, a non-linear film shot between New York and Brussels, shaped through poetry, intuition and the search for meaning within the unknown. Shungu reshapes the film’s score in real time, joined by Ruqqiyah on voice and Wonky Logic on keyboards and flute. Moving between composition and improvisation, the performance treats the film not as something to accompany, but as something to listen and respond to, a dialogue where music passes through image, silence and vibration, opening a space for the unexpected. ~ Shungu, a multidisciplinary artist from Brussels, has built a singular sonic universe blending jazz, hip-hop, psych-rock, and house. Known for his rich, sample-based sound and storytelling approach, he gained critical acclaim with *A Black Market Album* and a string of lo-fi cassette releases on Hot Record Société. His work has featured on respected compilations like *Gangster Music Vol. 1*, *The Beauty Is Inside (BBE)*, and *Afro Chronicles (Touching Bass)*. Under the alias Senga, he explores Detroit-influenced house, with the standout release *Take The Evil Spirit Away* showcasing his rhythmic versatility. In November of 2025, he released his highly anticipated album *Faith in the Unknown* on Lex Records, featuring artists such as Pink Siifu, Maxo, Liv.e, Fly Anakin, Fatima and Navy Blue among others - further establishing Shungu as a genre-defying visionary.
