Woozy is back again this November, this time in collaboration Empyrean Wave. We've invited Forest Drive West for his long overdue Dublin debut, Rub A Dub Hifi will power the sessoin & the collective's founders stebu & EMA will open up the night. Forest Drive West is the alias of producer Joe Baker from East London. His music has created a stir across the UK underground and beyond, with stripped-down, atmospheric and hypnotic techno tracks contrasting with his heavier, jungle-influenced sounds – all with a connecting thread that explores intricate rhythms and inventive percussion. Since 2016, Forest Drive West has been building a rapidly growing catalog of releases, receiving critical acclaim for records on labels such as Livity Sound, Ilian Tape, Mantis, Echocord and Rupture London. He co-runs the emerging label OODA alongside localhost. A project conceived to explore polyrhythmic techno, bass and ambient experiments in all forms. Operating as a conduit to the on-going mutations of low-end futurism, EMA’s selections warp rhythmic advances around a respected tradition in sub weight. Rigorously informed by the foundational lineage of dub-inspired club music, she encompasses not only the sounds but also the unity mentality of her influences. stebu, founder of the perceptual imprint Empyrean Wave and a resident at Kiosk Radio, operates in the quiet spaces between sound. Chanelled through an obsession with minimalist electronics, his selections fixate on tailored mood & refined intricacies with the aim of provoking both deep introspection and kinetic momentum, orchestrating an escapist soundscape which can be challenging to define. see you in the subs
