OCT 24 | Disco Not Disco is moving its operations to Karmakoma for one night this semester, 'cause we need a bigger boat for Minimal Wave and Cititrax label head Veronica Vasicka! We came into contact with the Check surname for the first time around two decades ago through the Lost and Found Tapes compilations on Veronica's now super-influential Minimal Wave. What preceded it was East Village Radio, Veronica's other project that eventually pushed her into owning a label. Minimal Wave has continued to unearth lost Cold Wave and Minimal Synth treasures before anyone else. In parallel, she launched Cititrax, which, unlike the reissue policy of MW, focuses on new artists that continue nourishing the sound, including Marie Davidson, An-i, Schwefelgelb, Buttechno, Broken English Club, and many more. 2018. saw the release of Veronica's first EP, which she performed Live at Primavera a year later.
