Rooted in dub’s spatial approach to rhythm, his work draws on Mexican literature, art, ancestral knowledge, and science fiction to create immersive, narrative-driven soundscapes. His releases on Diaspora Echoes include Antiguos Astronautas (2022), Cuerpo de Obsidiana (2023), and La Creación de las Aves (2024), alongside collaborations with Lee “Scratch” Perry and remixes from Deadbeat, Legowelt, and Regal86. Yushh Bristol-based DJ, producer, and label head Yushh (Jennifer Hartley) is a vital force in the UK's underground electronic scene, known for her deep, percussive, and sub-heavy sonic footprint. Merging elements of leftfield techno, UK bass, and broken beat, her sound design seamlessly balances intricate club mechanics with expansive, dubbed-out atmospheres. As the founder of the Pressure Dome imprint and a long-standing resident on Bristol’s Noods Radio, she has cultivated a distinct community space for cutting-edge, fractured rhythms and low-end weight.Her acclaimed discography highlights this unique sonic vision through standout solo projects like the Look Mum No Hands (Wisdom Teeth) and Full Body AXY (Timedance) EPs, alongside high-profile appearances on leading underground labels such as Well Street Records and Tectonic. Frequently engaging in the cross-pollination of the UK underground, her catalog includes collaborative releases alongside artists like Facta, Caldera, and Syz.
