For generations, Black dance floors have been places of liberation, celebration, and community—where music becomes memory and joy becomes a form of resistance. My Soul To Keep continues that tradition. Returning to Houston’s Historic Eldorado Ballroom on October 16, the second installment brings together another carefully curated lineup celebrating the legacy, evolution, and future of Black house music. Headlining the evening is Los Angeles’ Juliet Mendoza, a DJ and producer whose infectious, deeply rooted sound moves through soulful, deep, and percussive house. She’s joined by DJ Nimbus, bringing a seasoned and deeply musical approach; Espee, adding his distinct perspective to the night; and Houston’s own DJ Elevated. Together, four artists and four unique voices take the room on a journey from the first record to the last. My Soul To Keep is about more than the lineup. It’s a space to move freely, discover music, connect with one another, and find joy on the dance floor. The first gathering introduced the vision. October 16, we continue building the tradition.
