HUSH Events in partnership with Band on the Wall presents a landmark night: the first ever Felabration in Manchester, a licensed celebration of the life, music and legacy of Fela Kuti, the pioneer of Afrobeat. Part of our Rhythm of Africa series, and landing right in the heart of Black History Month, this is one night of pure Afrobeat energy at Band on the Wall. Headlining is Dele Sosimi, the Nigerian, British Afrobeat Ambassador who began his career as keyboardist in Fela Kuti's own Egypt 80, before becoming musical director alongside Femi Kuti in Positive Force. Over four decades on, he remains one of the most respected authorities in Afrobeat anywhere in the world. Joining him on stage is Olusegun & The Stallion Band, HUSH's core touring band and a powerhouse of live Afrobeat, bringing their full six-piece energy direct from Nigeria, alongside Ara. Expect scorching brass, hypnotic rhythm, and the spirit of Fela on stage. This is more than a concert, it's culture, community and celebration in one room. This is a Licensed Felabration Event.
