As the fall settles into our fair city we are forced to come to terms with the darkness of winter once again. Gone are the late summer nights spent dancing into the early hours of the morning, coming face to face with full sun at 5am. The leaves are changing colours outside, and we have once again found ourselves in a familiar dark room. We've gathered here before, and all your friends are here, dancing without inhibition. Obstructed View has returned for its fourth edition. Featuring two of our favourite djs from the Vancouver underground, we are excited to present this latest edition of the event. This show has been months in the making, having had its’ seeds sown at our New Years Party where we were lucky enough to witness an absolutely mind-bending set by Slim Media Player. Sam, as he is known to some of us, is a longstanding fixture of the scene. He is a one man powerhouse of Pacific Northwest raving. Having thrown some legendary parties around the city over the last 10+ years, and releasing some truly beautiful music on wax during the heyday of Pacific Rhythm, plus some loose tracks on Weirdos Inc. and other local purveyors of heady sounds. Given all of this, he was a natural next fit to lead our fourthcoming edition. Joining him is Daniel Rincon, also known as NAP, who was a last minute addition to our party Everything is Alive in March. Daniel is a prolific selector and musician, with an incomparable output. His label Isla has vast and varied library of releases, and is a fantastic archive of global underground electronic music. As a producer and artist he has built an unparalleled track record of releases. He is half of Ambien Baby alongside dtiff, another legend of the Vancouver scene producer. As half of DOSIS he and our friend ZDBT released one of the most infectious dance EPs of 2026, Ritmo Animal. Honestly there’s too much for me to write about here. It’s worth a dive on your own time into his catalogue, you’re guaranteed to find something you’ll like. As with past editions of the party, your eyes will be treated to a rich visual palette. We’re inviting our good friend Anna Shkuratoff to help direct our visual journey. She will be joined by our other friends, Stuck Productions. The driving force behind Shovelmania in Vancouver. There’s a lot more in store visually, but we will need to keep things vague for now. Lighting will be provided by the best and brightest of the scene, Penumbra returns to Obstructed View. Fresh off his gorgeous work at the recent 4x4 Campout, we are thrilled to be inviting him back As with previous editions of the party, the djs will be playing all vinyl, all night, out of sight.
