Oslo Import Vol. 3 — Frisyro Bolani & DEUX MILLE Oslo Import returns for its third edition, this time back at Carburant, your friendly neighbourhood craft beer bar in Paris's 10th arrondissement. Connecting the Oslo and Paris music scenes, one bag of records at a time. Behind the decks are two old friends from Moss, Norway, with deep roots in Oslo's underground music scene and the wider musical community surrounding the legendary Sex Tags label. Frisyro Bolani has spent years digging, collecting and playing records, running club nights such as Club Alberto Peroni and Bento Boleros in Oslo. A familiar face at Kafé Hærverk and The Villa, he's also taken his record bags to Berlin's Paloma Bar, playing all-night B2B sessions with longtime friend DJ Fett Burger. His selections move freely between obscure disco, percussion, acid, house, italo and whatever else sounds right at the time. DEUX MILLE, now based in Paris, previously co-ran Skranglejazz in Oslo, sharing lineups with the likes of Bjørn Torske, Prins Thomas, Telephones and Andras. With a recent release on SGURVINARTS, he continues to collect and play across soul, funk, disco, house and the stranger corners in between. For this edition, we're keeping things simple: two Technics 1210s, a rotary mixer, a pile of records and plenty of good beer. Expect percussion, jazz, balearic, funk, italo and house.
