Get an inside look at forward-thinking music tech: you're invited to an evening with Elektron at Plastics Dept., Perfect Circuit's new event space. Elektron's own Mario Hernandez (aka StrangeStrains) will offer a live performance, along with a demonstration of how the new Outbox 8 fits into his setup. One lucky attendee will also win a Tonverk, Elektron's expansive multisampler + audio processor. Free food and drink will be provided—a great chance to hang with fellow music makers and explore new tech to get inspired by. Elektron has always pushed boundaries with their game-changing instrument designs. Outbox 8, though, is about dissolving boundaries entirely: it is not only an expander for their existing instruments, but a bridge between computers, modular synthesizers, and other production equipment. Equal parts audio interface, MIDI to CV converter, and audio breakout, it brings new dimensions to Elektron gear as well as computer and modular-focused setups. This will all take place at Plastics Dept., located at 2409 Empire Ave. in Burbank (directly next door to the Perfect Circuit showroom). Plastics Dept. is our new event space: a place for community gatherings, meetups, and music. This is just the first of many events to come—so stop by for food, music, gear talk, and to celebrate at our new spot. Wednesday, Nov. 18th @ 7PM | Free Admission | 2409 Empire Ave., Burbank
