Early, cozy show for ur winter blues – and who doesn't love a 2 band bill? Come get festive with us :) New merch + goodies available at the show <3** Milou Moon** is Emily McGill's femme-fronted, bilingual dream psych project based in Naarm/Melbourne (AUS). Em came of age in Chicago's DIY scene and moved to Australia for love in 2016. She'd been building her musical universe in Naarm for a few years, drawing inspiration from Australia's iconic psych scene and growing her love for melty guitar tones and harmony-laden, immersive soundscapes. She met collaborator Leigh Fisher (DOPE LEMON) in 2024 and they've produced Milou Moon's debut record together, with contributions from Simon Mavin (Hiatus Kaiyote) and Adam Halliwell (Mildlife). 'Time', out Dec 4, is the second single from that body of work after the celebrated 'Like an Adderall' got Milou Moon on the KEXP rotation and global airplay. Em spends a few months of the year back home in Chicago, and regularly tours in the US as well as in Australia. With French citizenship adding a third point to her Chicago-Australia axis, Em’s tri-hemispheric life has shaped Milou Moon’s blend of Chicago indie DIY, French whimsy, and Aussie psychedelia. Milou Moon has released 2 EPs to date, sold out headline shows in Australia and the US, and is signed to Chicago’s Shuga Records and ORiGiN Music in Australia. **Toddo** is a queer, brash, delicate, loud, mandolin power pop power trio. Built around Leah Krull on vocals and electric mandolin, Miles Allen on bass and Michael Seidenfeld on drums, the band pairs punchy pop hooks with 90s rock riffs filtered through rambunctious riot grrl influences. Toddo's 2025 debut EP No Room for the Blues was ranked by the Chicago Reader as one of the most overlooked records of the year. They continue to carve out their own corner of Chicago’s independent music scene, with its members sharing connections to local heroes like Red PK, Options, and Life in Public. Equal parts sweetness and scrappiness, Toddo makes open-hearted music for those tender souls among us who may yet yearn to rock.
