Vespers Club, London

Echo State presents Aphotic Presence, the first event from a new platform dedicated to experimental music and performance. Conceived at the intersection of live music, art and club culture, the event seeks to create an immersive environment in which sound becomes something to inhabit, shifting between the tangible and intangible, the familiar and the unknown. Across four performances, the evening invites audiences into a world of dense atmospheres, fractured rhythms and evolving sonic landscapes. This night marks the beginning of a broader project committed to supporting experimental artists and cultivating new spaces for unconventional forms of expression. Line Up Chadzing Kung Chadzing Kung is a London-based sound artist, producer, musician, DJ, and curator working across experimental sound, live performance, and installation. Drawing from queer experience, underground music culture, and contemporary sound practices, his work explores embodiment, instability, cultural memory, and the tensions between intimacy, desire, and social norms. Moving between experimental electronics, club music, and interdisciplinary performance, Chadzing creates immersive sonic environments that blur the boundaries between physical action, emotional states, and technological systems. Marcus Herne Marcus Herne is a UK based composer, producer and sound artist whose work explores the intersection of experimental electronic music, contemporary composition and immersive sound design. Drawing on synthesis, unconventional recording techniques and acoustic instrumentation, his practice moves between ambient textures, distorted harmonics and rhythmically driven electronic forms. Zamyarski Aleks Zamyarski (b. Bulgaria, lives and works in London) is an interdisciplinary artist working across sound, visuals, performance and installation. His music is rooted in manipulated noise, abrasive textures, drones and often informed by sound art practices. Focusing on live acts, each one aims to transform it’s surrounding space with projections or programmed light. Floco Singer, producer and violinist FLOCO inhabits a world between the old and the new. Weaving remnants of her musical upbringing on English folk music through live electronics and experimental production, FLOCO explores the more abstract lands of Cyberfolk and Dream Pop. Her live shows flit between moments of lyrical intimacy and ethereal transcendence, as FLOCO oversees a range of electronics augmenting her vocals and violin lines. With moments of improvisation, field recordings and freeform electronics, her music is an organic melding of songcraft and space.
