Just Keep Moving’s second fundraiser for social change focuses on elevating the standards of safety and wellbeing across Brighton’s nightlife. This event is raising funds for people to take safer spaces and welfare training through our long term partner Safe Only CIC. The aim is to increase the awareness and quality of welfare at events across Brighton, with successful candidates then having opportunities to work with Just Keep Moving. To celebrate this, we’ve curated an incredibly meaningful lineup of people who have been beacons of change for their cities. True legends Wildblood & Queenie, who have championed and elevated Brighton’s nightlife since the ’90s, are opening this special event with their joyous disco catalogue, full creative freedom and an energy that’s bound to bring freedom to the dance floor. Headlining our fundraiser is Michael Upson, founder of Love Muscle and guardian of Leeds’ queer nightlife. So many events and collectives have been inspired and shaped by the community and environment Michael has created, and it is an example for Just Keep Moving too. On top of that, Michael is one of the most attentive DJs around, with the ability to take you on a journey from disco to techno. The sooner you let yourself into the palm of his hand, the better. Closing things out, we have Just Keep Moving founder Hedonator, bringing the night to a close in the high-energy, pleasure-providing way only he knows how.
