S.O.T.S x MATTER w/ NAP(CDMX/Mexico) Friday 13th November | Athens | N.A.O.S. S.O.T.S. in a special collab with the MATTER collective, invites @danielrincon as NAP. We are excited to host one of the most versatile, genre-blending DJs, coming all the way from Vancouver. NAP is the alias of Colombian/Canadian producer and deejay Daniel Rincon. Aside from his own productions, NAP is also one half of the groups Ambien Baby, La Fe, Sinnaz and Dosis. He is also the force behind the record label ISLA. Daniel Rincon has lived in a hundred different worlds, and he has built a utopia in each of them. The Colombia born artist would hear the sounds of cumbia and merengue floating through his house, but he was interested in rougher stuff: punk, hardcore, no wave. As a distinctive presence in the underground electronic music scene, NAP moves freely across left-field house, adventurous techno, psychedelic electronics and unexpected rhythmic territories. After moving from Columbia to Vancouver he started going to no wave shows, and he’d DJ parties with busted equipment. It was punk in sound, but more importantly, in practice. Sandwiching NAP's set are two long-time b2b pairings guaranteed to deliver any party setting. Miss Trouli b2b Andreas Palmer will take the decks before him, with Ayshel b2b Waste taking over after. The night opening is by SOTS head, mint + +, with a record bag that takes the night's musical range straight into the sky. Capacity limited.
