7 TO LIVE consists of two 7-To-Smoke battles (September 23 will have House Dance & FlexN) set to live music, interspersed with DJ sets to keep the party going. LayeRhythm’s band plays live as dancers go to work, bringing the energy of street dance battles to a concert setting. Rules: - Two 7-to-smoke battles: one in House dance, one in FlexN. - One dancer starts as King/Queen; challengers step up one at a time. - Win, you stay. Lose, you go to the back of the line, you don't battle again until everyone else has gone. - First to 7 victories wins the 7-To-Smoke, or whoever has the most wins when the 25-minute clock runs out. - If two or more dancers are tied at time, they battle one more round to decide the winner. - All participants are invite-only. Event attendance is open to the public. This event is presented as part of UNGA Healing Arts Week, a New York City-wide celebration of arts and health during the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, produced by the Jameel Arts & Health Lab in collaboration with the World Health Organization. \- Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
