Collide × Ritmo Futuro — 30 YEARS ADE Electronic music rarely exists in isolation. Behind every record is a wider ecosystem: artists and labels shaping the music, promoters and communities creating spaces around it, voices documenting the culture, and the infrastructure that ultimately carries those records into the world. On hursday 22 October during ADE’s 30th anniversary, Collide and Ritmo Futuro bring those different worlds together at *Cut Throat Amsterdam, alongside Applied Magic, Electric Communion and Proton. The Amsterdam edition is the latest chapter in a relationship developed through previous Collide × Ritmo Futuro collaborations in London and Portugal. Collide has built its identity around community-led events and cross-border collaboration, creating connections between artists, promoters and audiences across independent electronic music scenes. Founded by Rick Offen, Ritmo Futuro approaches that culture from several directions at once — spanning label releases, events, festivals and creative direction, with music and visual culture forming part of the same wider platform. The programme begins at 20:00 with *Aera — DJ, producer, educator and founder of Applied Magic — leading an intimate masterclass. Alongside his work as an artist and label founder, Aera has developed **Magic for Live**, a collection of Max for Live tools designed, coded and engineered to expand the creative possibilities of Ableton Live. Drawing on that intersection of music, technology and education, the session will open up the creative process behind his work — from experimentation and sound design to production, workflow and the decisions that shape a finished record. At 21:00, Richard Q of Electric Communion takes the conversation beyond the studio. Built around in-depth exchanges with the artists, producers and promoters shaping club culture, Electric Communion brings a perspective focused not only on the music, but on the people, ideas and realities behind it. Richard will be joined by Aera, Rick Offen, Patrick Serhal of Collide, representatives from Proton and further guests to be announced. Powering more than 2,000 independent electronic labels Proton brings another crucial side of the equation: the distribution, technology and label infrastructure that allows independent music to move from artists and imprints towards audiences worldwide. Together, the panel connects different parts of the same ecosystem — creating music, developing labels and artists, building events and communities, documenting the culture, and getting records heard. The conversation will explore where those worlds Collide, and what **independence, collaboration and longevity** mean in electronic music today.
