Project Nowhere presents: INDEX LEONA HELL @ HANK'S LIQUOR FREE / PWYC RSVP DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENTRY, COME EARLY! \-- When Index moves, it’s in lockstep, as a single, indivisible unit. Alan Creedon and Alex Lichtenauer (both ex-Control Top) started the project in the summer of 2025, and it quickly became clear that its sound would be an outgrowth of their close friendship. Eschewing the densely orchestrated compositions of their previous band, Index would instead focus on sweaty, visceral physicality, with Creedon’s guitar intuitively latched to Lichtenauer’s drum kit, navigating corridors of tricky rhythm as one. Vis Inertiae, named in homage to Nietzsche’s assertion that forgetting is not a passive act of inertia but something one chooses with intention , is the duo’s debut album, and it realizes Index’s founding ambition. It’s a subversive work of electronics-inflected hardcore punk, but it’s also the sound of two longtime friends making music together, reinvigorated by the act of creation. We are in hell and of it, clasped together in our alienation and bound with barbed wire. Leona Hell is sprawling concrete and piercing cacophony, disconnected flesh surveilled and gouged away. Unstable & shifting, smoldering with the caustic hiss of disintegration. Consisting of guitarist Olivia Walsh, bassist Kieran O’Connor, drummer Christopher Thompson, and frontwoman Molly Lisabeth, Leona Hell blends noise rock with elements of punk, black metal, post-hardcore, and shoegaze into a sound all their own; abrasive & beautiful, gloomy & frantically apocalyptic. \-- Multi-dimensional music festival Project Nowhere returns for a fourth year to electrify Toronto’s west end OCT 1-3, 2026.
