McDaniel - "a dynamo with a brass-plated voice" (LA Times) and Ariel Weissberger - a multi-instrumentalist and Board Certified Music Therapist, have a special musical partnership. Collectively they’ve played National Sawdust, The Apollo, BAM Café, Joe’s Pub, Barbes, WNYC’s Soundcheck, and Leicester Square Theatre (London). McDaniel's vocals convey an intimacy tailor-made for Weissberger's latin and jazz inspired harmonies and grooves. Sir Richard Newton is a local NYC band started by Dan Gleason and Larkin Bogan. They met as actors on tour with Green Day’s American Idiot and began writing songs on guitar and dobro in the stairwells of the Gershwin Theatre when they worked together at Wicked Broadway. Over the years they have watched that sound grow into a six piece band, with the additions of Shannon Ford (drums), Andy Dow (bass), Alec Bart (keys), and Andy Buslovic (guitar). For the feelers, the seekers, and the sonically curious, Lia Menaker blends soulful pop with moody elegance and emotional grit. Dubbed “noirtronica” by WXPN radio, she is known for her playful loops and her rich, emotive voice. Lia wrote the original score for Welcome to Campfire’s danceplay and subsequent film, “Subject,” and has performed in 50+ cities, opening for artists such as Brass Against and two-time GRAMMY nominee Raúl Midón. Menaker's forthcoming October 2026 album reveals a wider sonic palette of dark, textured rhythms; vocal experimentation; and playful retro soul-pop.
