**Kangzheng Guo** takes on an ambitious program spanning more than two centuries of keyboard music, from the elegance and rhythmic vitality of Bach’s French Suite No. 5 to the drama of Beethoven’s Les Adieux Sonata, the shimmering colors of Ravel’s Jeux d’eau, and the poetry and virtuosity of Chopin. The program culminates with Chopin’s monumental Piano Sonata No. 2, famous for its haunting funeral march and electrifying finale. A rising young pianist, Guo studies at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts with Winston Choi, Edward Auer, and Junghwa Moon Auer. He is the winner of the 2025 Lake View Musical Society Competition and the 2026 CCPA Solo Competition.
