Ingar Zach is a Norwegian percussionist, composer and sound artist working at the intersection of contemporary music, improvisation and experimental sound practices. His work explores resonance, vibration, extended percussion techniques and the physical qualities of sound, with the Gran Cassa and vibrating membranes at the centre of his practice. Zach has an extensive international career as a solo artist and through long-term collaborations including Dans les arbres, Huntsville and Re:Membrane. He has worked with artists and ensembles such as John Tilbury, Rhodri Davies, Caroline Bergvall, Nils Henrik Asheim, Ensemble Musikfabrik and Speak Percussion. In 2024, he completed his PhD in artistic research at the Norwegian Academy of Music with The Vibrating Drum, focusing on a self-developed system of transducers applied directly to drum membranes. His solo work Musica liquidareceived the 2023 Edvard Prize for contemporary music. Zach is also co-founder of the Norwegian record label SOFA MUSIC and has served as its chair since 2026. Eimear Reidy is a cellist, improvisor, sometimes sound artist whose work constantly explores extended techniques within improvisation, experimental music and contemporary composition. Collaboration is a key part of Eimear’s practice and she regularly works with musicians and sound artists such as Natalia Beylis, Willie Stewart, Ailbhe NicOireachtaigh, Tola Custy, Agathe Max, Tara Baoth Mooney, Irene Murphy and Anthony Kelly.
