Rhythm welcomes Berlin-based subsonic explorer Barbara Preisinger for a night of pummeling house and deep, enveloping techno. Mary rounds out the bill on warmup duties. Barbara Preisinger has been a fixture of Berlin’s electronic music scene since the late ’90s. A DJ since 1996, she co-founded the influential experimental label ~scape with Stefan Betke (Pole) in 1999, before launching SLICES OF LIFE in 2009, a vinyl label exploring organic, diverse club music. Her sound has evolved towards deep techno and driving house, guided by a dancefloor-focused approach and an openness to distinctive, forward-thinking selections. She also founded DEEP IN THE BOX, a long-running event series that has found a home on the Globus floor at Berlin’s legendary Tresor since 2015.
