**midori jaeger** is a cellist and songwriter originally from Japan. She headlines Stone Nest with an intimate and captivating performance to launch her new EP *(Re)planted* with a full band. *(Re)planted* and her previous EP *(Un)planted* draw upon a childhood spent across multiple continents and an adulthood geographically separated from family, exploring themes of displacement, belonging, heritage, and solace found in creative expression. The songs were written at the cello, an instrument that was once a living tree. The cello and the songs together draw poignant parallels between the natural world and the human search for home and self.
