Natchez Casuals: different players each show, no cover, two sets, good times, sweet hangs, and excursions into the unknown. Every month, multi-instrumentalist and musical polyglot Jon Natchez (War On Drugs, Beirut, David Byrne) assembles a novel group of crack shot & acclaimed musicians to take you on a guided improvisational journey in 2 sets. This month features Jon Natchez with Dave Harrington (DARKSIDE) and Max Jaffe (JOBS, Amirtha Kidambi's Elder Ones, Leverage Models). Harrington leads his own Pranksters band (a large format double drummer grooving behemoth) and collaborates in many different improvisational contexts, including: longstanding trios with Max Jaffe & Patrick Shiroishi, and Billy Mohler & Jay Bellerose, duos with Mary Lattimore and Kalia Vandever (Kalia and Dave have a record set for fall 2026), and a new band called GIRAFFE with Robert Walter, Spencer Zahn and Kosta Galanopolous. Dave is also a member of acclaimed psychedelic techno band, DARKSIDE, which he founded with Nicolas Jaar in 2011. Max Jaffe is a drummer, producer, composer, and technologist based in Los Angeles, CA. His work expands the possibilities of composition and collaboration through the drum set. Max is a founding member of experimental rock collective JOBS, Amirtha Kidambi's Elder Ones, Leverage Models, and several others. 7pm doors 8pm music 2 sets no cover
