QNCC's wellness program Downtempo makes its much-anticipated return on October 2. This program is free of charge thanks to Red Bull and is designed to support the people in our community who work around the clock to keep the party going. HEALING TOUCH w/KENTO SPANOS (45 min., open to first 16 pairs to arrive) The work we do at night asks a lot of the body: long hours on your feet, loud environments, overstimulation, and emotional labor that most people never see. This class gives you practical tools to help regulate your system, release tension, and reset your body in a real, sustainable way. The class moves through a short series of breath techniques, a few easy acupressure points, and some partner-based touch work focused on myofascial release, grounding, and stress relief. This session is guided by Kento Spanos who has a background in bodywork, meditation, breath work, and somatic practices. YOGA w/PURE IMMANENCE + GUMGUM STUDIOS (60 min., open to first 75 registrants) Then, an hour-long yoga class led by Will Farris set to a live ambient set by Pure Immanence with sound design by subBASS Sound System and a soothing light environment by GUMGUM Studios. Take care of your body and recenter yourself with this balanced flow combining breath-work, movement, and rest. Just enough sweat to get you feeling energized; plenty of time for slow stretching and savasana as you ease into your evening. ACUPUNCTURE BY THE ROOTED REFUGE (by appointment, up to 30 appointments available) We will be offering a free acupuncture clinic by The Rooted Refuge, a queer sliding-scale collective known for making their services accessible to the people who need them most. Limited appointments will be available on-site. LIGHT FOOD & SOFT SPACE Throughout the event, we’ll have light nourishment, health resources provided by Callen Lorde, and quiet communal space for resting, stretching out, or just taking a moment for yourself.
