From Boston, two dancefloor legends land in Madrid for a night of proper funk, disco and house. Soul Clap are Eli Goldstein and Charles Levine, two high school friends who founded the duo in Boston in 2001 and are now a global reference. They grew up on funk and hip hop, discovered rave culture, and ended up in house and disco. They made their name with their edits, run their own label, Soul Clap Records (part of Crew Love alongside Wolf + Lamb), and have a DJ-Kicks mix and collaborations with George Clinton under their belt. They’ve played DC10, Panorama Bar and fabric, and their philosophy is “house wears many hats”: anything can happen in their sets. Toni Aparisi has been in music since the late ’90s. In 2007 he moved to Shanghai and became co-owner of Lola, one of Asia’s landmark clubs. He has played Sisyphos (Berlin), Sunday Sunday (Mexico City), Papaya Club (Tulum) and Silencio (Paris), and has shared the booth with Soul Clap, John Talabot, Prins Thomas and Louie Vega. Today he is music director at The Madrid Edition, and his session blends disco, house and techno. Two universes that have already crossed paths in the booth. - €20 with a drink included - Limited capacity, so best not to leave it until the last minute.
