Draw a card and meet your FATE. On October 30th, join us for a night of forward thinking sound, whimsical curiosities and connections both new and old. FATE features two rooms with distinct vibes and feel. The main room curated by Release is a full-spectrum bass experience, built around intentionally curated, low-end-forward sounds from a lineup with serious tenure. Across the entire night expect to hear new and energizing sounds, seamlessly mixed that welcome you to get your body moving. The second room “The Lounge” by Woven Events features vendors, relaxing seating areas and tarot readings. Do you dare to have your fate revealed? Have your fortune read by the High Priestess herself. Delve into the mysteries of the bazaar and shop for artifacts. You never know what enchantments you might find. Costumes are encouraged. Performers: MANDAI This bad gyal has been a long-time staple in Vancouver's underground bass scene for more than two decades. She started out by spending countless hours digging elbow-deep in crates of 45s in Canada, the US and Jamaica. Her finely curated sets landed her behind the decks continuously and firmly solidified her as a member of Vancouver's notorious LIGHTA! crew. Blending reggae/dancehall with dembow/bass/rap/RnB/grime, her musical repertoire is expansive and fresh. A regular at Bass Coast, she also graced stages at Shambhala, Diversity and her family-run festival The Field. She rocked the Thunder Stage at LIB and made ripples at the Moon Stage at the Oregon Eclipse OKIRO Choice selector with deep crates. Okiro’s sound crosses boundaries pulling in flavors of dub, breakbeat, R&B, Grime and other bass leaning textures. His productions have a heavy lean into the classic dub sounds rooted in roots sound culture. A true storyteller across his sets you can expect to be taken on a soulful and energetic journey. With performances at Shambhala FEELGOOD ‘Long mix baddie’ With over two decades of experience Feelgood pulls from an expanse of sounds and textures rooted in soundsystem culture. You can expect seamless mixes blending dub, halftime, techno and more with a focus on layering and new sounds. NIGHT WORK Selector with immaculate selections pulling from R&B, rap, UK Drill, vintage jazz and more. His sets bring heavy bass sensibilities and weaves them into hypnotic melodies and samples with powerful lyricism. The result is a soulful journey that satisfies a broad THE LADY IN RED Shaped by a decade of dancefloor culture, this vixen is thrilled to at last be behind the decks weaving melodies laced with meaning. From sweeping orchestral strings to sassy trap and 140 dubstep, her sets aim to tell a story - decorating time with emotion. This is a 19+ event Appropriate harm reduction measures will be in place. Location will be sent to ticket holders the day of the event.
