On September 18th 2026, People Drift is delighted to invite RRRKRTA (clinging vine, hard wax) to Spanners for an all-night session along with DJJJ (people drift). --- Since 2013, RRRKRTA (clinging vine, hard wax) has been assiduously assembling her idiosyncratic vision of techno, pieced together from a deep understanding of the far reaches of electronic music and it’s uses in, out and after the club. On September 18th 2026, People Drift is delighted to invite her to Spanners for an all-night session along with DJJJ (people drift). As a DJ, RRRKRTA brings together a bricolage of midwestern techno, wrong speed abstractions, 12 bit dub and sometimes even swinging, crunching house. Presented on countless mixes, radio shows and parties from Tokyo to Krakow, via Glasgow, Kyiv, Berlin and Belgrade, she showcases a taste refined by years of deep listening and digging behind the counter at Hard Wax and elsewhere. Encompassing everything between and beyond raw analog beat tracks, mutated, crystalline techno, reissues of obscure Cdr recordings from turn of the century Eastern European scenes and plasmatic IDM beamed in from the Dominican Republic, her new label, Clinging Vine, builds upon the decade-long run of Brutaż. With a discography that channels the weirder fringes of the non-dogmatic underground: an eye fixed on a shimmering, lysergic future, a few steps before the door that leads back to the street. Balancing a playful curiosity with a cautious sense of optimism that recorded music itself might still mean something, RRRKRTA offers a clear eyed and open-minded techno-cosmology which, frankly, feels refreshing in a scene where a sense of anonymity can signal empty cultural vessels for capital driven speculation, just as much as any promised collective transcendence. “Let´s move towards the exit but never quite leave.”
