On October 25, electronic musicians from Poland, Indonesia and Italy, invited to take part in 交流方式 Modular Commune 2026, will continue their musical journey at Rugs* with a special, one-night-only gathering of live improvisation and sonic exploration. Indonesia’s Dea HMGNC and Parakuat will open up imaginative sonic worlds through dreamy synth melodies and generative sequences, and unusual samples and shifting percussion, respectively. A highlight of the night is An On Bast, who has performed at international festivals including Sónar and Fusion. Using analog and modular synthesizers, drum machines and samplers, she will deliver a fully improvised live set, weaving delicate emotion and powerful dancefloor energy into an ever-evolving sound. Next, the Sintetica duo of Tambu and Lorenzo Donato will explore the intersection of heavy bass, breakbeats and techno grooves. Closing the night is Beijing-based independent musician, film composer and live performer Zip, whose cinematic sense of storytelling connects experimental electronics with diverse musical influences, bringing emotional depth to the dancefloor. From quiet introspection to restless intensity, the music will grow through spontaneous decisions and the energy of the room, leaving a sonic imprint unique to this night at Rugs*.
